Time to make a masive gridfinty layout

After months of furstration things going wrong projects just not getting the right out comes and dayjob im going to gridfinity my work shop as i have been churning tools and junk i have acumlated over the last 5 years as i want a space i an work in with out issues.

as i want to connect multible base plates i found this project that cought my eye so time to mesure and genorate some bits. https://gridfinitygenerator.com/

so worked out i need 8 x 5×5 plates then another 4 x 3 x 5 plates

so easy to generate.

now for a long print each plate is around 3hrs 30 mins so a fair few hrs later and we have now all the big panels and connectors also brought some self tapping counder sunk screws to hold it to the wooden shelf. started late last night knocked 2 out betweeen work and playing with my son.

day 2

another 2 down desided to start pining them together so printed 50 connectors now on to plate five that should be done by 1 am think i will get back on it in the morning day 3 is done.

day 3

should get second row done today as working from home tommorw so can clear the bed and get straight back on it. Then 4 more smaller plates

Then the fun can begin.now that i have it all connected and screwed in 4 corners and a few places inbetween.

Day 4

I am going to need to make dump bins tool cutouts etc think i will add labled lids if i can then could also have a board on top if doing project that require more space.

Time to look in to what i am going to need as the cave looks like a bombs gone off in it again. so many connectors to find homes for bits of wires and battery electirical moduals the life of a maker. 79 joining clips later and all joined up.

Day 5

we are golden 8 m3 x 10mm self tappers to hold it in place i now have 13 x 20 grid to fill so going to need some planning and looking on makers world for the bits i know i need for the build.

time to build a plan for the grid so have start with might move some nuts and bolts out of the draws to make it more of a parts bin and keep tools in the draws i have.

fisrt up have printed a 3×5 tool basket

next up i have printed a 3 by 2 wiring basket for some lose power wiring i have.

realsing i am going to need some more black filiment so looking at sunlu or esun to get best rate as aslo have some projects for my wifes craft studio coming up.

Design time so after exporting a 4 x 4 cutout form the project i imported it in to fusion converted the stl mesh and then added a cuircle of 77mm to the bace then exstruded it in fusion added some a beveled edge and exported ready for 2 x 1kg resin storage. going to test print in a colour i dont like to make sure it does work.

only 1hr 40 mins to print let see if it works

so what to print next will come back tothat later as im just going to get on with next project will add a new post showing more as i fill it.
